FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Will the MicClip negatively affect the radio’s range or performance?

The MicClip uses materials similar to radio’s components, like the plastic around radios or antennas. These materials are RF transparent, allowing VHF and UHF signals to pass without interference. Field tests show no negative effects.

My boss says, “Don’t hang anything on your antenna!” Will this hurt my antenna?

Your antenna is safe. The design and materials are based around protecting your radio and mic. The MicClip creates a safe, secure means to attach your mic to your radio for storage, charging, or transport.

Is the MicClip compatible with my radio?

The MicClip has two different-sized holes, allowing you to ratchet down and attach to most antennas. The mic attachment bar is optimized for most radios. This includes, but is not limited to: Motorola, BK, Kenwood, Harris, and Rocky Talkie.

Do I have to take the MicClip off the antenna when it’s not in use?

No, that’s the purpose of it. Attach the MicClip to your antenna and leave it on as a semi-permanent upgrade to your radio.

Does it work while charging or transporting the radio?

Yes, it keeps your mic tidy while charging or packing your gear, so cords stay organized at the station or on the go.
