Rusting after 6 months

I bought the XShear Mini in November 2024. It is now the end of June 2025. I keep my shears in my XShear Soft holster. Have probably used the shears less than 5 occasions, during the past 6 months. Today I pulled them out to use at work, only to find that they are rusted and pitted. I was shocked! Also very disappointed! Please don't make the same mistake that I did. These shears are a waste of money!

Our products are manufactured from 420 stainless steel, this gives excellant hardness and edge retention, but the carbon content does make it susteptible to rust if left in damp conditions. This can be prevented by drying the shears and applying oil occasionally but we understand that isn't always possible so we are happy to warranty against rust and corrosion for 5 years.
