First pair retired from busy ER work after 2 years..retired to house duty and still serving well. Bought an orange pair as replacement for the cool looks and they're beyond amazing. Literally can not even consider buying another brand.

Can't imagine anything better

These feel great, cut well, and they're simple and quick to use. I considered Raptors but for a medsurg floor, I wanted something that could do everything without being overbuilt. These are perfect. Super sharp too, be careful; I gently grazed the edge of my gloved finger across the blade while cleaning them, and it sliced me pretty good with barely any pressure applied. That was user error, of course, not a knock on the shears. Five stars

So far, so good.

After receiving multiple recommendations from co-workers to get these shears, I did. So far, I have zero complaints. They feel good in my hand, the cut well, and I haven’t had any issues. I love the orange, makes my shears standout from all my co-workers. Plus, are a bit easier to spot in low light situations if they are dropped, which has been helpful. They are a little stiff to work at first, but I actually didn’t mind that. And, co-workers with more expensive shears, *cough* rhymes with Weatherman*cough* are always asking to use my shears.

These are rapidly becoming my favorite shears! I am an ER/trauma nurse, Life Flight ground, and volunteer firefighter (rural nurses get to do it all) and have used the North American Rescue trauma shears for many years and they are significant lighter and cheaper cost. The Leatherman Raptor was just too big for carry for me (although the EMTs love them, they just don't feel good you carry for me). These shears are right in the middle of weight and cost: we will see if they last longer than my NAR shears do (I get a new pair every 3 years. Cutting metal really does a number on them). My advice for those considering these shears would be to get a retractable lanyard so they don't get borrowed forever. If the curved design works for you then you will probably love them. I hardly notice them on my scrubs and they are lighting fast to cut.
